The best way to enjoy boating in Florida is completing the Safe Boating Course offered by the United State Power Squadron here in Satellite Beach by the Banana River Sail and Power Squadron. Learn the fundamentals of boat types and handling, safety, navigation rules, government regulations and many other topics from experienced, certified instructors. The course meets Florida State and NASBLA requirements for certification. Also, an on-the-water session will be held demonstrating pre trailer launch; hands-on basic boat handling, anchor deployment and retrieval; casting off and docking.

Fees: $20.00 per person
